DOS BANOS

Outdoor Mural
January, 2009
Playas de Rosarito, Mexico
collaboration with Bob Snead

This mural was inspired by a small fishing village located about one mile from where we parked the TransitAntenna
bus during our stay in Rosarito. The village, named Popotla, was a thriving market that sold fresh fish twice a day
directly from their boats once pulled ashore. After spending a week eating fish from the market and attempting to
catch our own assortment of sea creatures from the sea, Bob stitched together several photos from Popotla and we
began painting the mural. The mural gets its title from the two bathrooms clearly marked within the painting.
