Once we got to Alaska as part of the TRANSITANTENNA project, we found ourselves low on money and pretty much
stranded. So we found this company called Indian Valley Meats that was willing to hire us for moose season doing
some random jobs.
Eventually after welding back together some broken shit and fixing up a bunch of old commercial kitchen appliances
and basically proving ourselves the Alaskan way, the owner Doug decided to teach Bob and I how to be butchers.
Thus we learned how to break down moose, caribou, black bear, pigs, and cows into the various steaks, roasts, and
stew meat. After a month, we were back on the road again.
Doug allowed me to take these photos on medium format film throughout our time there.
